Measuring Guide
Internal Face Fix
- Measure the structural opening width, brick to brick from inside of the garage. (Measure in 3 places, at the top, middle and bottom of the opening).
- Measure the structural opening height, floor to underside of lintel. (Measure in 3 places, at the left, middle and right side).
- Measure the side room available behind the piers on the left and right.
- Measure the head room from the underside of lintel to the ceiling.
Reveal Fix
A reveal kit will be required for this type of installation. The opening dimensions will need to be reduced to take account of the reveal kit frame size.
- Measure the structural opening width, brick to brick within the opening. (Measure in 3 places, at the top, middle and bottom of the opening).
- Measure the height from floor to underside of lintel. (Measure in 3 places, left, middle and right side).
- Ensure there are no gas, water pipes, ducts or electrical cables in areas where the door is to be installed.
- Check for anything on the side walls and low beams on the ceiling which might interfere with the sectional door tracks.
- Measure the depth into the garage to ensure that there is sufficient room for the door and boom.
